Shopify AI Toolkit

Can you rewrite the descriptions of the products that are not selling?

Shopify published its AI toolkit for Claude Code, Cursor and other assistants. It searches Shopify's documentation, validates theme code and, most useful for an owner, can manage your store: products, inventory, SEO and pages, in plain language.

What you need

  • Claude Code (it also works with Cursor, VS Code and Codex).
  • Admin access to your Shopify store.
  • Recommended: a development store to try it on before the real one.

How to connect it

  1. Install the plugin in Claude Code:

    claude plugin install shopify-ai-toolkit@claude-plugins-official
  2. If you do not want it to send usage data to Shopify, turn telemetry off before using it:

    mkdir -p ~/.config/shopify-ai-toolkit && touch ~/.config/shopify-ai-toolkit/opt-out
  3. Give it a small task on a development store and review the result before pointing it at your real store.

What to ask it

Copy them as they are. They work best with concrete dates and numbers.

  • Find the products with no description or fewer than 50 words and write new ones. Show me each change before saving it.

  • Which products have zero inventory but are still published? Just give me the list, do not change anything.

  • Write an SEO title and meta description for my 20 most-visited products. Do not save anything until I approve it.

What it will not tell you

This one can change your live store. Always ask it to show you changes before applying them, start on a development store, and do not ask for bulk price changes until you trust how it works.

Official source

Before you believe the AI, check it against your orders.

Meta, Google and GA4 each credit themselves with sales on their own terms, and they almost never match what your store recorded. Adray brings all four sources together with your real orders in a single connector for Claude or ChatGPT.
