Adray

Meta's official Ads connector

Which Meta ads are spending without selling?

Meta published its own MCP server. You add it to Claude or ChatGPT with one URL, sign in with your Facebook account, and ask about your campaigns in plain language, without exporting anything to a spreadsheet.

What you need

  • Access to your ad account in Meta's business portfolio.
  • Claude (the free plan allows one custom connector) or ChatGPT.

How to connect it

  1. Open Claude and go to Customize > Connectors.

  2. Click + and choose Add custom connector. Name it Meta Ads and paste this URL:

    https://mcp.facebook.com/ads
  3. Claude sends you to Meta. Sign in with the account that manages your ads and choose which business and ad accounts it can see.

  4. In a new conversation, click + at the bottom left, open Connectors and turn on Meta Ads. Start with one of the questions below.

What to ask it

Copy them as they are. They work best with concrete dates and numbers.

  • Give me the 10 campaigns with the most spend in the last 30 days, with purchases and cost per purchase. Sort them from worst to best.

  • Which ads have been spending for more than 7 days without a single purchase? Give me the name, the spend and when they started.

  • Compare this week against last week, campaign by campaign. Where did cost per purchase go up and what changed?

  • Which creatives have the highest frequency and the lowest CTR? Tell me which you would rotate first and why. Do not make any changes.

What it will not tell you

The purchases it gives you are the ones Meta credits to itself, under its attribution window: by default, 7 days after a click and 1 day after a view. They almost always add up to more than your store's orders. Use it to compare your campaigns against each other, not to know how much you sold. And since it can also change campaigns, ask it to show you any change before it makes it.

Official source

Before you believe the AI, check it against your orders.

Meta, Google and GA4 each credit themselves with sales on their own terms, and they almost never match what your store recorded. Adray brings all four sources together with your real orders in a single connector for Claude or ChatGPT.
