The best marketing attribution tools for ecommerce in Mexico (2026)

Which marketing attribution tool fits an ecommerce store in Mexico, and what does each one actually cost?

Most lists of attribution tools are written by one of the tools, rank it first and describe the others from memory. This one is also written by one of the tools, so here are the rules it follows instead. Every figure about another vendor comes from that vendor's own page, read on September 25, 2026, and is linked where it appears. Where a page could not be read, the row says so rather than guessing. And for each tool we say who it is actually built for, including the cases where that is not us.

Three kinds of product get sold as "attribution"

Before comparing names, separate the categories, because most bad purchases start by comparing across them.

  • Attribution platforms tie a sale to the ads and visits that produced it, usually with their own pixel plus your store's orders. Adray, Northbeam, Triple Whale, Polar Analytics and Wicked Reports are in this group.
  • Free analytics, which in practice means Google Analytics 4. It measures behaviour on your site very well and credits purchases with its own model.
  • Data connectors such as Supermetrics and Windsor.ai. They move data from your accounts into sheets, dashboards, warehouses and AI chats. They do not decide which ad produced which order, and they do not claim to.

What each attribution platform is good at

Northbeam is a mature multi-touch attribution product for ecommerce brands running experiment-based growth across many channels. Its pricing page lists view-through attribution (Clicks + Deterministic Views), Northbeam Apex to send its conversion data back to the ad platforms, and optional media mix modeling and incrementality on the higher plans. It also says the monthly price is informed by your data volume, measured in pageviews, and that Professional and Enterprise are annual terms. We compare it with Adray in detail in Adray vs Northbeam.

Triple Whale is a Shopify-native analytics product with a polished dashboard, its own AI assistant and an MCP server it publishes for Claude and other MCP clients. It has also announced WooCommerce and BigCommerce integrations. If you are a single-store Shopify merchant who wants one screen for everything, it is built for you. Our side-by-side is in Adray vs Triple Whale.

Polar Analytics combines business intelligence, multi-touch attribution with its own pixel, a dedicated Snowflake warehouse and an MCP interface, priced by annual GMV. Its pricing page also lists incrementality testing with a dedicated data scientist and conversion signals for Meta and Google.

Wicked Reports is built for ecommerce and subscription brands that care about customer lifetime value. Its pricing is revenue-based: $499, $699 or $999 a month for brands up to $2.5 million in annual revenue, and Enterprise from $4,999. Currency conversion and international time-zone loading start on its Scale plan.

Adray ingests orders from Shopify, WooCommerce, VTEX and Magento through each platform's webhooks, stitches every verified order back to the session and click that produced it with an explicit confidence score, and shows each ad platform's own claim beside that number instead of merging the two. It also has a lead-generation variant that counts verified form fills and cost per lead. It is built in Mexico and works in Spanish. What it does not do: media mix modeling or lift tests, which Northbeam and Polar sell.

Where GA4 and the connectors fit

GA4 is free and answers questions no ad platform can: which landing pages convert, where people drop out, what returning visitors do. Its attribution offers data-driven and last-click models only, since Google retired first-click, linear, time-decay and position-based in November 2023. Its purchase count also depends on a browser event, so it loses the same blocked traffic your pixels lose. We go through when it is enough in GA4 or an attribution tool.

Supermetrics and Windsor.ai are the right purchase when the job is reporting: many sources, many destinations, and an analyst who models the data once it lands. They are often bought as an attribution tool and then disappoint, because putting every platform's own numbers in one sheet shows the disagreement without resolving it. We explain the difference in Adray vs Supermetrics and Adray vs Windsor.ai.

What changes when the store is in Mexico

Three things matter more here than in most published comparisons, which are written for Shopify stores in the United States.

Your platform. VTEX, WooCommerce and Magento are common among Mexican retailers, and many tools either do not support them or support them only on higher plans. Ask how orders reach the tool: through the platform's order webhooks, through a pixel on the confirmation page, or through periodic imports. On VTEX the checkout runs as a single-page application, and a pixel installed only through a tag manager can miss the checkout events entirely, so the order has to come from the platform, not from the browser.

Currency and time zone. It is common for a store to sell in pesos while an ad account bills in dollars, and for each system to close its day at a different hour. A tool that does not normalise both will show a gap that is only arithmetic.

Seasonality. Hot Sale and El Buen Fin concentrate a large share of the year's sales in a few days, which is exactly when platform-reported numbers inflate the most. A tool that only shows the platform's claim is least useful in the week you need it most.

How to decide in five minutes

If you are on Shopify, spend heavily across many channels and want media mix modeling and a strategist, start with Northbeam or Triple Whale. If you need reporting across many sources rather than attribution, start with a connector. If GA4 already answers your questions and your budget is small, keep GA4 and revisit when a budget decision depends on the answer. And if your store runs outside Shopify, you sell through leads, or you want every platform's claim checked against the orders your store actually settled, that is the case Adray is built for.

Whichever you shortlist, run the same test with each vendor: pick one real order from last week and ask to see which channel got the credit and the evidence for it. We keep a longer checklist in what to ask before you buy an attribution tool.

Common questions

What is the best attribution tool for an ecommerce store in Mexico?

It depends on two facts about your business. If you are on Shopify with a large multi-channel budget, Northbeam and Triple Whale are built for you. If your store runs on VTEX, WooCommerce or Magento, or you sell through lead generation, check first whether the tool ingests your orders directly and supports your platform on the plan you can afford.

Is Google Analytics 4 enough?

GA4 is free and very good at on-site behaviour, but it credits sales from a browser event and its own model, so it is not a ledger of what you sold. Whether that is enough depends on how much of your budget is decided by it. We cover the decision in GA4 or an attribution tool.

How much does an attribution tool cost?

Published entry prices on this list range from free to several thousand dollars a month, and several vendors price by revenue, GMV or pageviews rather than a flat fee. Compare the price against the budget it helps you move, not against other software.

Are Supermetrics and Windsor.ai attribution tools?

They are data connectors: they move data from your ad, analytics and ecommerce accounts into sheets, dashboards, warehouses and AI chats. That is valuable, but moving each platform's own numbers into one place does not decide which ad produced which order.

Does the tool need MCP to work with Claude or ChatGPT?

MCP is how an AI assistant like Claude connects to an outside data source, and most tools on this list now offer it. What matters is what the AI reads through it: each platform's own claims, or orders reconciled against your store.

Can I run two attribution tools at the same time?

Yes. They read the same ad accounts and none of them requires removing the others. Running two for a few weeks and comparing both against your store's orders is one of the better ways to decide.
